SUBJECT: NPD Arrest Two Graffiti Vandals 

Ongoing graffiti investigations by the Newark Police Department Street Crimes Unit have led to the identification and arrest of two additional graffiti vandals. On September 19, 2012 members of the Criminal Investigation Division and Street Crimes Unit executed search warrants at several residences resulting in the arrest of 21 year old Joshua Dominelli and 20 year old Tyler Mullen, both of Newark. 


Defendant 1: 






Joshua Dominelli DOB 08/15/91    292 Red Mill Road Newark DE 19711
Charged with 2 counts of Graffiti and 2 counts of Possession of Graffiti Implements stemming from graffiti vandalism in the unit block of N. Chapel Street and the unit Block of E. Main Street, resulting in $100 damage. 

Defendant 2:  



Tyler Mullen DOB 11/14/91 14 Beagle Club Way Newark DE 19711
Charged with 2 counts of Graffiti and 2 counts of Possession of Graffiti Implements stemming from graffiti vandalism in the unit block of East Main Street and the 400 block of S. College Avenue, resulting in $250 damage. 


Both Dominelli and Mullen were arrested and released pending future court appearance.
The arrest of Dominelli and Mullen are the latest in the Newark Police Departments ongoing investigation into the identification and arrest of graffiti vandals. In the past two years NPD have arrested 29 such vandals. 

The Newark Police Department are reminding business owners and home owners to promptly report graffiti vandalism to the police, and once it is documented, the graffiti should be removed.

The Newark Police Department affirms that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
