GRAFFITI ARRESTS
GRAFFITI ARRESTS: A New Castle man and woman have been arrested after Wilmington police allegedly caught them spraying graffiti on several businesses early Friday. Cpl. Mark Martinez was flagged down at about 2 a.m. by a person who reported a suspicious group of people in the 900 block of N. Union St. When the officer arrived, they found three people spraying graffiti on several businesses, police said. The two women and a man fled on foot, and a chase ensued. Officers caught and arrested two of the taggers with several spray-paint cans in their possession, police said. One of the women escaped. Paul F. Sawczuk III, 37, and Jamie L. Kreider, 25, are charged with graffiti, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and conspiracy. Damage is estimated at $1,200.
