Three Teenage “Taggers” Charged with Graffiti
New Castle County Police have arrested three teenage males who were caught in the process of spray painting graffiti on property belonging to the Delcastle Golf Course Tuesday evening.
Yesterday at 6:49 p.m., County Police received a call from a concerned citizen who reported seeing three male subjects spray painting graffiti near the 8th hole of the Delcastle Golf Course. The responding officers approached the teens from the wooded area and observed the crime in progress as all three were spray painting large pieces of wooden planks.
By the time the youths observed the approaching officers, they had no avenue of escape. All three were arrested without incident and approximately 10 cans of spray paint were recovered. The teens were found to be spray painting the following tags: “ASAR” “TRUE” and “KARP.”
They were each charged with spray painting graffiti on real property, conspiracy, possession of graffiti tools, and criminal trespassing.
The teens have been identified as:
Ian DeBright, a 19 year old male who resides in the unit block of Hobner Court in the community of Arundel. He has been arraigned and released on $1,750 unsecured bail.
Sean Yoncoskie, an 18 year old male who resides in the 400 block of Highland Avenue in the community of Arundel. He has been arraigned and released on $1,750 unsecured bail.
A 17 year old male who resides in the 1200 block of Gilbert Avenue in Wilmington. He was released to his parents on $1,000 unsecured bail.
